Be Aware of the Infected Websites with Hatred – By Ahmed J Yassin

Is the Director of Somaliland National TV, Khadar Ali Gaas, guilty of anything?

Yes in the minds of a few jealous shameless so called Website Masters who could not hide their contempt towards him, but to the majority of Somalilanders he is the savior who brought into the daylight the financial hemorrhages that crippled the Nation’s TV when he signed a new contract with the satellite company (Taykom) saving thousands of dollars for the nation and exposed overseas’ fictitious personnel drawing $240,000 annually from its budget within three months of his administration.

opinionQuestion the integrity of what you see in Ceebwadaagnews.com (Hadhwanaagnews.com), Goblamey.net (Gabiley.net), Beensheegnews.com (Halbeegnews.com), and Qudhunnews.com (Qarannews.com)

On December 1, 2013, the minister of Information, Abdillahi Mohamed Dahir (Cukuse), Director General, few of Division Directors, and quite a small number of the staff were present at a gathering in the premises of the ministry where a donated broadcasting equipments being presented by DAI (Development Alternatives, Inc), an international development company. At this occasion, the minister mentioned the outcome of a recently conducted internal ministerial review on the treatment, rights and pay of employees as well as working conditions in the ministry by an ad hoc committee made up of the General Director and Divisional Directors of Dawan Media, National TV, Technical Support, and Radio Station. According to Cukuse, it revealed a quite few mistakes: pay discrimination, excess staff, and decedents/deserters still on payroll.

On December 2, it has been reported by many websites when Khadar came to work that morning would not let him to enter the building because of an order given by the minister. It has been said that internal review created friction and disagreements between them. Until this moment, there is no official comment from the Presidential Palace, Information ministry, or the National TV Administration.

The Office of the General Auditor started investigating Finance Departments of both National TV and Radio Station on December 4, 2013 without officially indicating what prompted this move.

Frictions and disagreements are the perils and pleasures of democracy. They are   routine occurrences in government circles and standard procedure to be followed is already in place when need arises. A perfect example of this procedure is the case of Ahmed Omer H. Abdillahi (Xamarji), former governor of Marodijeex, who has been accused of diverting humanitarian food aid, been put behind bars for seven months, but eventually been cleared of any wrongdoing.

In spite of that, a campaign of smearing and staining his reputation and contributions with corruptions, fraud, and favoritism come out into the public from few persons who have grudges and animosity toward him. Websites like Hadhwanaagsnews, Gabiley.net, Halbeegnews, and many more daily publish lies and false accusations naively believing their actions would influence the case. The public is too smart to believe the contents in these pieces written by such rotten elements and ignorant dummies in the media. They are just nuisance and distractions of the past. This unprecedented bad behavior placed the innocent decent hardworking employees of the ministry between a rock and hard surface where they cannot take sides when such infected websites published their names intentionally and without their consent in a bogus petition intended for demonizing the director, Khadar Ali Gaas. Obviously, they do not get the difference between the civil service and the political appointees _______________________________________________________________
